In the United States, one in every five adults is a “smartphone-only” user (i.e., they don’t use laptops or desktop computers). This means that if your website is not optimized for the smaller screens of smartphones, users may abandon it in frustration.

Colors have an impact on how we feel. Warm colors elicit excitement, whereas cold colors elicit relaxation. The color scheme of your website might have an impact on how people perceive your organization.
Do you want your website to motivate people to take action and help your organization? Warm hues such as flaming red, vivid orange, and neon yellow are ideal. Do you want your website to be a tranquil and peaceful haven for visitors? Cool, earthy tones will relax the eyes and urge them to keep scrolling.

Your website visitors will feel as if they are interacting with the website – and thereby with your nonprofit – with a few basic animations. This interaction is critical, especially if you want your website visitors to take action (like making a gift!).
